Gathering of Women

January 25, 2014  /  8:00 am – 11:00 am

Mary Southard, CSJ.

 Art and Spirituality

A Suggested Donation of $5.00 or More is Appreciated

Once again St. Raymond’s will be offering our “Gathering of Women.”  All women of the parish are invited to join us on January 25 for Mass, breakfast, good company and a wonderful presenter, Sister Mary Southard, CSJ.  We begin with Mass at 8:00 AM and end at 11:00 AM.

Mary Southard, CSJ is an artist, educator and an experienced retreat facilitator.  She sees art as a rich and most natural well for our own growth as spiritual beings, as women, and as a source for deepening our relationships with God and all of life.

Mary’s fascination is the on-going creativity of the Cosmos itself, most especially planet Earth.  Her paintings and sculptures contemplate the journeys of our own souls within this intimate, interconnected, evolutionary Universe, with all its beauty and longing, its passion and mystery.  Using her own and others’ images, Sr Mary will explore the Sacred Energy which powers all Creation, and the Mysteries of soul and spirit at work in our lives, in prayer, in relationship, and in our own always-evolving sense of identity and belonging.  Mary is co-founder of Spiritearth.  She lives and has her studio in La Grange, IL.  (www.marysouthardart.org).  Please plan on joining us – you’ll be glad you did!

  • Volunteer Opportunities

  • The Religious Education Advisory Commission (REAC) has recommended that the RE Program place permanent office, hall monitor, and traffic guard position to remain constant for each session. The REAC supports having a team of people helping to keep our children safe; knowing that the same adults are always in place is key in achieving this goal. To thank these parents, who are willing to make a permanent commitment for the 2014-2015 school year, we will apply a tuition credit of 1/2 of one tuition. Please know that with volunteering comes the Virtus/Protecting God's Children Workshop (one time only). This is an important commitment and one not to be taken lightly. The commitments of these positions are half year terms -- every other class time. If you would like to be considered for a position please check the appropriate line and the RE office will contact you.
  • Thank You- please hit "Submit" to complete your registration
